Insyde™ Software Launches Application to Remotely Control PCs
Android and iOS Apps Provide Complete Remote Control for Emerging Compute Stick and other Small Form-Factor Windows & Android Computers
INTEL DEVELOPER FORUM - SHENZHEN, CHINA - APRIL 8, 2015 - Insyde™ Software, a leading provider of Unified Extensible Firmware Interface (UEFI) BIOS and Android™ system-level software today announced the release of ShareKanTan, a new mobile device application that consolidates keyboard and mouse input into an intuitive touch interface to fully control computers running Windows or Android.
ShareKanTan is designed to empower users to take advantage of the latest compact computers, where traditional physical keyboards and mice are not convenient or practical. Mini PCs, Smart TVs and Compute Stick form factors all make it easier than ever to enable new computing usage models. Smartphones are the natural and most readily available devices to replace the keyboard and mouse in these scenarios. ShareKanTan easily pairs a smartphone to the other computer, offering a more fully capable and common set of input devices such as touch, smart gestures and keyboard control.
“With more unique and portable computer form factors coming into the market, we recognized that the traditional keyboard and mouse may not be the best input solution for many of these new devices,” said Andy Wang, Product Marketing Manager, Cloud and Applications, at Insyde Software. “ShareKanTan beta testers agree, leveraging their smartphones to remotely control their computing devices adds a new level of simplicity and portability to their lives,” added Wang.
The Android release of ShareKanTan is available now on Google Play, and an iOS version of ShareKanTan will be released in the coming weeks.
Insyde Software will be providing more details on this newly launched application at its booth #710 during the Intel Developer Forum (IDF) 2015 in Shenzhen, China from April 8th to 9th, 2015.
