Insyde® Software Revamps UEFI BIOS Tools & Introduces New Licensing Options for Embedded Systems Developers
New and Enhanced Set of Firmware Development, Debug and Test Tools Help Speed Deployment and Lower Total Cost of Production of x86 Embedded Devices
EMBEDDED WORLD – NUREMBURG - FEBRUARY 25, 2014 - Insyde Software, an Intel® Intelligent Systems Alliance member and leading provider of UEFI firmware and Android system-level software, today announced the availability of a new suite of UEFI firmware development and debug tools aimed at lowering the cost of production and speeding time-to-market of embedded systems powered by InsydeH2O® UEFI firmware.
Insyde Software has strengthened its existing UEFI BIOS tools offerings in numerous ways, including the addition of an improved Binary Editor (H2OEZE™) tool, an overhauled Register & Table Editor (H2ORTE™) tool, a new UEFI Variable Editor (H2OUVE™) tool, a new power-cycle manager (H2OPCM™) tool, improved command line support, as well as adding Linux support to the majority of its UEFI BIOS tools.
Insyde Software’s revamped EDK-II based UEFI BIOS tools package address the critical needs of every major stage of the embedded system development lifecycle including product development, validation, provisioning, customization and post-production end-user requirements. InsydeH2O tools customers can also look forward to additional enhancements and new tools in the coming months, including Linux support for the very-popular H2ODDT™ Development & Debug tool, and a new diagnostics and systems test tool.
To complement the new and overhauled tools, the company is offering reduced licensing fees for multi-year subscriptions, leveraging a new simplified tools licensing agreement and never before offered no-charge evaluation programs.
